Her highly anticipated performance on Saturday Night Live on Oct. 3, 2009 included a skit with the Queen of Pop in addition to her performances of Paparazzi, followed by the debut of her new song, Bad Romance as part of a medley including her hit singles, Love Game and Poker Face with new lyrics specific to the occasion of her appearance on the show. She delivered standout performances, including a segment in which she performed, accompanying herself at the piano, wearing an elaborate costume. All videos are after the jump.
All selections are reportedly to be included on the pop diva’s forthcoming Nov. 24, 2009 re-release of The Fame Monster. Bad Romance was produced by famed hit-maker producer RedOne with whom she collaborated with on her international chart topping singles Just Dance, Love-Game and Poker Face, the song originally leaked on the Internet a day earlier, with Lady GaGa Tweeting of the leak: “Leaked next single is makin my ears bleed. Wait till you hear the real version.” The performance on SNL proved true, as she debuted the completed song.
Earlier in the week PopEater reported on some YouTube videos revealing Lady GaGa as an unknown singer performing at The Bitter End in New York City. It is a fascinating look back at the early beginnings of the emerging international pop star: Vintage Gaga: Raw Music, More Clothing Additionally, on Oct. 2, 2009, as seen in photos above and below, Lady GaGa was honored as Billboard Rising Star Award for 2009 at the 4th Annual Women In Music event at The Pierre Hotel in New York City. Beyonce was honored at the event as Woman of the Year.
