The specialty retailer is holding its annual "KEY TO THE CURE" shopping event October 15-18. This is the 11th year of the event, where Saks will donate 2 percent of its sales from this weekend (up to a quarter million dollars) to "local and national women's cancer organizations and research centers," according to this PR Newswire release. In addition, the retailer will make an additional half million dollar donation to its partnering organization for this year's campaign, the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
There is also a specially designed T-shirt (worn by Heidi Klum in the picture) created by designer Michael Kors for the campaign. It sold for $ 40 and over 80 percent of the revenue will go to charity. Klum, recently gave birth to fourth child, who is an ambassador for the campaign.
